Hailing from an undisclosed Speyside distillery, this single malt spent a full dozen years maturing in oloroso sherry casks – just look at that rich, dark hue. It’s a delightfully complex and moreish sipper, brimming with chewy malt, caramelised nuts, fruit cake spice, and oily oak.
Tasting Note
Nose Dense notes of chocolatey malt, caramelised nuts, cinnamon sticks, and woody spice lead to thick cut marmalade and earthy oak char.
Palate A tangle of dried berries and stewed fruits support meaty, oily malt. Chewy spice and roasted nuts develop in time, backed by rich oak and a trickle of treacle.
Finish Nutty malt, candied fruit, cakey spice, and sherried oak.
