A fruity 2007 Jamaican rum from Plantation, distilled at Clarendon distillery and initially matured in Jamaica’s tropical climate before being transported to France and undergoing a secondary maturation in ex-Ferrand Cognac casks. The palate is rich and fruity, with notes of cantaloupe melons, guava, pineapple and baking spices that linger in the finish.
A 2007 vintage Jamaican rum here released by Plantation. This particular expression was distilled at the Clarendon Distillery, and matured in Jamaica for 13 years before being moved over to France for a final two years of rest in Cognac casks. It was then bottled up at 48.4% ABV, with some manatees on the label. Wonderful animals, those manatees.
For more than 20 years, our Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel has explored the world of rum in search of ancestral production methods. For this one-time limited edition, he crossed the ocean to the shores of Jamaica, where he handpicked only 28 casks.
We are proud to reveal our latest release from the Vintage Collection : Jamaica 2007 produced at the legendary Clarendon distillery and enhanced by our double ageing technique. This unique expression is aged 13 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica and matured for another 2 years in French oak Ferrand casks in the southwest of France.
