This is a peated single malt hailing from the Scottish Highlands, matured for a generous 18 years in a host of bourbon, oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez casks. Boasting vibrant layers of herbaceous peat and sooty smoke, with meaty malt, juicy fruit, and rich old oak, it’s a real belter.
Tasting Note
Nose Big bold notes of oak and robust, meaty peat are joined by waves of peach and apricot, grilled pineapple, and toasted vanilla.
Palate Sooty smoke and charred herbs lead, followed by soft stone fruits and blanched almonds while mellow old oak nestles beneath.
Finish There’s a touch of meaty biltong in the depths, backed by herbaceous peat smoke and caramelised sugar.
