Tasting Note
Nose: The aroma begins with deeply delectable sherried notes of blackcurrant coulis, fresh apricot jam and a drizzle of huckleberry honey. Rich, sweet spices, old, leather-bound books and bouquet of English summer flowers provide a complex backdrop.
Palate: Black treacle, dried figs and bramble fruit lead before baking spices, gingerbread and a touch of light smoke emerges. There’s cigar box, oily walnut and chewy oak underneath.
Finish: A smattering of salty vanilla, delicately balanced with barley and very soft oak, lingers.
