This blend from John Walker & Sons celebrates the brand’s 200th anniversary, taking inspiration from its own Old Highland Whisky which was first sold back in the 1860s – it was also the first expression to be housed in the hallmark square bottle with slanted label! A peppery, fruity expression, certainly worthy of celebration.
Tasting Note
Nose: Touches of Bakewell tart, apricot, and baking spices, with peppery oak in support.
Palate: A hit of spice, malt biscuits, and black pepper, with toasted caramelised nuts.
Finish: Spicy pepper lingers on the finish.
