Tasting Note
Smell: A fresh, sweet, light, fruity, well balanced and atypical whisky with aroma’s of jasmin green tea, acacia honey, creamy vanilla, maple syrup, stem ginger, soft & dry oak, a hint of metallic tones, aldehydes, pear, melon, floral tones, ash, citrus, white chocolate, damp eatery tones, lemon oil, mango, green banana, slightly tangy green apple, barley, cereals en a hint of almond milk.
Taste: A fresh, fruity, powerful, pungent, full and rough whisky with aroma’s of apple peels, lemon zest, pepper, hot ginger, nutmeg, green leaves, oak sap, fresh oak shavings, (over)ripe pear, Turkish delight, orange blossom water, nougat (but without the nuts), hint of cardamom, white wine, marshmallows, new leather, cereals, biscuit’s, hay, grassy tones, unripe mango, a hint of green mint and just a trace of smoke.
Finish: A long and slightly drying finish with aroma’s of green apples, candied lemon peel, lime juice, fresh oak, soft bitter tannins, sweet cinnamon, floral tones and a softly lingering smoke.
