Glenmorangie have kicked off their Bond House No.1 series of vintage expressions with an absolutely stonking 1990 vintage single malt! This terrific tipple was distilled right when everyone realised that the year 2000 might actually happen, and left to age in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks for quarter of a century before being bottled at 43% ABV. The distillers in the Highlands figured that a whisky as smashing as this needed a rather handsome bottle too, which is always a treat.
In his Whisky Bible 2017, Jim Murray gave this a massive 94 points (earning a Liquid Gold Award), and also took home a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017!

Tasting Note
Note: A cornucopia of floral and fruity notes. Pear, honeysuckle and freesia mingle with orange blossom, candied fruits, mandarin, apple, heather honey and a distinctive note of beeswax.
Taste: A silky, creamy mouthfeel brings with it the succulent sweetness of orange syrup, honeycomb and vanilla. Then come zesty top notes of gooseberry and menthol.
Finish: Baked apples and pears abound, leading to brown sugar, biscuit and the gentlest hint of clove.
