This is the Chapter Three, the third release in The Renaissance series from Glen Garioch! The 17 Year Old Highlander was matured in a combo of sherry and bourbon casks, before the single malt was at 50.8% ABV. It’s a brilliantly chocolatey and citrusy affair, and we very much look forward to what the next chapter will bring…
Tasting Note
Nose: Sweet malt and orange peel, with freshly baked bread slathered in honey, supported by ginger biscuits.
Palate: A whole host of citrus, though bitter orange marmalade dominates, with lots of milk orange chocolate and a crack of black pepper keeps things lively.
Finish: Toasted brown sugar (if slightly burnt) with chocolate-covered ginger, and white pepper spice.
