Tasting Note
The nose is dominated by dark, roasted and somewhat ethereal hues. It takes a few moments for the cloud of smoke to thin out, to reveal pretty grilled nuts with coconut accents.
With aeration, the rum confirms its roasted inclination and details notes of toast, strong coffee, then muscovado and licorice stick.
The palate is soft and offers a very fluid texture on the attack. We then see a more concentrated wave, roasted and astringent, made of roundly coated nuts, coffee, then toasted white wood. The vanilla that escapes from this roast shows a sweeter side that comes with time.
The finish is round and gently spicy. The oak is tender, and its fiber flows like syrup.
