Stunningly well-sherried single malt from Balvenie, matured for 17 years and drawn exclusively from first-fill oloroso sherry casks. A much-loved expression, though it’s sadly pretty difficult to get your hands on a bottle these days.

Tasting Note
Taste: full-bodied, creamy, oily, intense, full load of sherry, licorice again, comfrey, oak, leather, tobacco, a touch of wood juice, the mouth is full of aromas, dark chocolate on the palate
Finish: the dark fruits last forever, concentrated raisins, nuts, the oak is there, but not intrusive, great
