Smoketrails is the new range of different bottlings for the travel retail market.
The Cote Rotie Edition is the second bottling in This series.
Malt whiskys from former Bourbon Casks made of American white oak and Casks in which Cote Rotie wine previously matured were selected and blended together.
The result is a heavily peated Single Malt Whisky with a clear red wine influence.
Tasting Note
Nose: intense aromas of peat and BBQ smoke, with grilled vegetables, especially artichokes with sea salt and herbs – in the background some iodine and gauze
Palate: mouth-filling and rich in taste – now spicy notes, paired with oak and smoked berries – behind it chocolate and grilled bacon
Finish: long and smoky in the lush finish – again the chocolate and the bacon, light tones of licorice and barley malt
