963 Malt & Grain is, shock, a blend of malt and grain whiskies! It’s produced by Sasanokawa Shuzo, which is also responsible for Yamazakura whiskies. This particular expression has been bottled at 58% ABV, though still makes for a very mellow and fairly creamy dram.
Tasting Note=
Nose: Barley sugar and vanilla icing, with floral honey and key lime pie.
Palate: More sugary notes, with sugared almond, candied orange and vanilla fudge.
Finish: Gentle oak spice appears on the finish alongside vanilla pod.
